Daily Post: Humility , What does it mean?

Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up, (James 4:10)

 

I realize how small I am and how I am nothing in this journey.

I look around at the minute life that in this world I serve,

and that His love, grace and mercy, is not what I deserve.

I am but a filthy rag, in all I have done or said,

And yet His love and grace sustain me in the path I have led.

I stand in front of Him, dying on the cross for me.

Spilling down hin innocent blood from Calvary.

For ever changed, for ever shamed of never walking away,

May my humility to Christ guide me day by day

His grace, his mercy, his leaving me forever changed,

For as he humbled himself, only in Him, always sustained.

The humility melts at my feet, as his life comes to an end.

I shall be humbled by Christ, His glory without end.

At his cross I humbly stand. Will you too humbly stand?
