I wish I were Paul Bunyan’s powerful hands
To hollow out the tallest tree
And suck the water out of our Eastern lands.
and place it out of reality.
No small task for a fairy tale man,
picking up all the deadly debris,
Restoring electricity once again,
Helping millions to help set free.
The homes he would build in the blink of an eye
reviving daily life to wipe out the storm
And through the nation, we hear their cry.
Life isn’t the fairy tale, causing so much harm.
Let us be the helping hands to ease the pain.
