Daily Post: First Light, Universal?

Enterprising

Strange, words that cause me to jump out of bed. universal clothing, no fashion designers,
everyone looking the same, designers would be angry, people would be so displeased,
a universal color, for a universal body, one size that fits all?  Universal clothing, doesn’t appeal to me.

Universal monetary system, we would have all the same money to use, I prefer dollars and cents, nothing universal for me.

The Tower of Babel

A Universal language, what ever would that be? I only know what happened when they constructed Tower of Babal, and God confounded their language, so they could not understand their words.  English has served me well and I am happy to communicate with each and everyone. God gave languages for each nation, no universal language ended. In this plan, His own plans succeeded.

Universal ruler, a think-tank that solves all the problems of the world, no thanks, I have all that I need in God.

I love the world I wake up to each day, without some grandeur façade.

Aren’t you thrilled and happy to know that everything is a plan of God!

Daily Prompt: Comedy of Errors (and bonus assignment!)

Comedy of errors for the teacher in me, began the night before launching my career.  I was so nervous ensuring that my first day would be perfect.  I fell down my apartment stairs resulting in a painful sprained ankle, as all my notes and plans scattered down on me like a fallen ticker tape parade.

Here I am a spectacle for my students to see, this crazy woman with crutches under each arm.  That is only the first part of the comedy. After entering my classroom I had to look at the bulletin board that laughed back at me,

“Start your year by stepping along one foot after the other.”

We all laughed about it as we met each other for the first time.

Forgetting about the circumstances, but clearly the students

in my class, that first day learned we are not perfect, but stumble

occasionally, and learn to laugh at the instances that make us better than

before, for laughing at moments makes us not a laughingstock,

but human, for whatever life has in store.

Find comedy in the days we face, won’t you join me?

Overcoming your doubts

Daily Prompt: Happily Ever After.

Overcoming fear,

nightmares,

wiping out doubts,

forgetting my understanding,

learning to trust,

separating the compartments

that make me who I am

Soaring high,

Falling low,

He picked up the pieces

The puzzle became one.

I gave him my life,

I am never alone,

I fear no longer,

God took me in,

Happily Ever After

It is His understanding

that I hold on to tight,

Happily Ever After,

Overcoming darkness,

God is my light.

Daily Post: Humility , What does it mean?

Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up, (James 4:10)

I realize how small I am and how I am nothing in this journey.

I look around at the minute life that in this world I serve,

and that His love, grace and mercy, is not what I deserve.

I am but a filthy rag, in all I have done or said,

And yet His love and grace sustain me in the path I have led.

I stand in front of Him, dying on the cross for me.

Spilling down hin innocent blood from Calvary.

For ever changed, for ever shamed of never walking away,

May my humility to Christ guide me day by day

His grace, his mercy, his leaving me forever changed,

For as he humbled himself, only in Him, always sustained.

The humility melts at my feet, as his life comes to an end.

I shall be humbled by Christ, His glory without end.

At his cross I humbly stand. Will you too humbly stand?

Still water

Daily Prompt: Cliché.

Lord I thank you for the life that you have given me,  with flaws and imperfections,

I don’t understand at time the way my mind operates in many directions.

I know only that I am yours to serve and honor you in my thoughts and deeds.

Forgive me for complaining when everything seems completely out of touch,

It is in my loss of losing a classmate and friend we all loved so much.

So God call us to humble ourselves in the walks we have ahead, each son, and each daughter,

We give you our hands, precious Father, to lead us by your still waters.
