The Torch Shall Never Be Extinguished

I shall never forget this great president

Lines by Linda

The tears of a nation unleashed across the United States,
Fifty years ago, in an evil act of hate.
John F.Kennedy assassinated in Dallas as tears wouldn’t go away,
Middle aged Americans know where they were that day.
He was a dreamer, a man of faith in his country and each man, woman, and child,
The words, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country.”
The invitation  for people to help others all across the earth
His legacy and torch we carry on within our hearts at each day’s birth.
We thank you for sharing Him with us, Lord, are we ready to serve?
May the torch of his life never be extinguished, as we carry forth the light.
May the light of his life keep each generation burning bright.
