In an old,abandoned, crumbling, limestone home nestled by the riverbed, I opened up the creaky door, not knowing what I would find. Within the walls and wispy spider webs I could feel that family who lived and loved holding on to each other as best they could, through tough times, hope renewed day by day.
The frail boards echoed each footstep, and suddenly a small trap door appeared, I shook off the dust, and found an empty safe nestled in the corner, rusted and old, always protecting their many riches, a lasting reminder, never forgotten.
