The flashing light, my eyes growing larger,
my heart beating faster and faster,
That cold stone bridge I had to cross.
Imagination soaring so wild,
“U.F.O. U.F.O!” it cried.
Going home away from fear,
stay alert, remove this object I see
Closer and closer I walked,
How nervous as my body trembled,
eyes now closed stepping along,
light became brighter and something I hit,
to turn back and run, or open my eyes,
slowly, second by second each eye opened wide,
There before me was a flashing light for sidewalk repair,
I laughed out loud, because I need not be in fear!
